    changing lower case test to uppercase

    I am hoping there is an easier way to do this. I am needing to change a column from lowercase text to uppercase. The only way I know how is to click into each cell and do it manually. Is there a way to convert the whole column with a formula or something?

    Try the UPPER() function.

    =Upper(A1) will convert A1 into uppercase.

    Then you can copy the new column and paste special >> Values over the old before deleting the new column.
    Where there is a will there are many ways.

    In an adjacent column, say D1, if it is empty (otherwise, insert a column) you would type =Upper(C1)

    then you would copy it down by clicking and holding the little black square at the bottom corner of cell D1 and dragging it down to row 80.

    Then you can copy D1 to D80 and select C1... go to Edit|Paste Special and select Values.

    Click Ok. Hit ESC on the keyboard and then delete column D.
