I have a server with windows 2003 standard.

My users are using Windows XP to log into the server remotely.
The server has excel 2003 installed.
I have a folder with 5 excel files.

The Excel files were created in Excel 2007 in compatibility mode, then moved to the server where the users can access them.

I have noticed that 2 or 3 of the files have columns and data from one of the other excel files in them.

I have also noticed that when I am working with the files and I am switching between documents or programs that the cells have the correct data, but when you switch between cells, i.e.(b3 to c5 that the formula bar has other data in it for example data from other cells, or the name of a shortcut on the desktop, but the actual cell in the worksheet is correct) it is very weird and concerning. I have never seen this. Can anyone help, please?
