    Five small questions about Excel?

First of all. I am sorry for the title of the post, I am aware of the rules, but I thought rather than spamming five posts out into same channel, I would gather them in one question. Any help appreciated.

    Question 1:
Is there a way to format the 'DD-MM' date format into using a capital letter instead of the regular lower case one, in the display. (I know it is a minor correction, but the company sets pride in very clear things)

    Example:

    19-aug ---> 19-Aug

    Question 2:
Is there a way to use smooth lines around a cell, instead the raw square ones? It may seem more graphic question, but I want the template to look cool and smooooth. Not all square. Hm, I guess that may be a long shot, oh well.

    Question 3:
Is there a way to use the '=A1' command, to draw a value or text from another cell. Yes, I know you can do that, but the real question is - is there a way to do so with two cells, in same line. Say I wanted to make something that said:

"This template was started [A1] and finished [A2]"
Can I write that in one cell, and call it the two values. Since the rules of '=' no longer apply to that.

    Question 4:
Is there a way to avoid cells that have a calculation formular going error if I accidently type in, say text, in a math formular.
    Like.

    (C= A+B)

    A..B..C
    1..2..3
    2..4..6
    5..1..6
Hi....ERROR!!! <-- is there a way to keep the formular, but avoid it going error if I type in anything non-numbertic?
    3..4..7
    1..3..4

    Question 5:
Is there a way to add 11 hours to a number, and get the result in time still. Like if you have the time 20:00 and you add 11:00 hours, it is suppose to show 07:00. I tried A1+11 but it seem to be incorrect hah!

I won't try all of them....

    Q1

Doesn't Excel capitalise the month by default? I get 19-Aug if I use the for d-mmm.

    Q3

    Try concatenating using &, e.g.

="This template was started "&TEXT(A1,"d-mmm-yy")&" and finished "&TEXT(A2,"d-mmm-yy")

[assumes that A1 and A2 have dates]

    Q4

Try using SUM which will ignore text, e.g.

    =SUM(A1,B1) or =SUM(A1:B1)

    Q5

If A1 contains a time try

    =MOD(A1+"11:00",1)

format result cell to show time
