copy and paste without overwriting cells containing values

    hi,

how do i copy and paste a formula into a range of rows, where some rows already have values in that i don't want to overwrite with the data?

must be a simple solution i presume?

    Hi,

Copy the formula to the cliboard (Ctrl-C)
Highlight all the area that you will want to paste into.
In the edit menu there is a GOTO option.
Select that , then click the 'special' button.
    Choose the option 'Blanks'.
You have now selected all the blank cells in the region.
    Then paste your formula.
