    add 7 rows after each name in Column A

    HELP
    I am trying to add rows....So in comumn a I have 200 names of people I want to add 7 rows after each name. Can this be done? or when I add the 7 rows I would like to duplicate the names 7 times.

    Please help

    easiest way is in a spare column
    number down from 1=200 using autofill
    copynumbers 1-200 go to bottom insert copied cells 7 times then sort by spare column

    I am trying to make a macro or something that will help me.
    I have column A with name then I have colume b,c,d,e,f that has data in it for the name in column A. There is about 250 rows.I would like to see if I can do the following.

    example

    column a bill column B data column Data Column d Data comumn e data


    column a bill Column B data
    column a bill Column C data
    column a bill Column D Data
    column a bill Column E data
    column a bill Column F data

    Martin's method takes care of the first part (let's say his #'s are in col C)

    After Sorting, Add this formula in Col C, starting in C2, dragging down
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    Then copy and paste special values that column into Column A
    See attached for steps

    substitute commas with semi-colons if your region settings requires
