Want to display info in a cell next to one with a certain criteria.

Hi all,

Newb here with a question. I'm not sure how to summarise exactly what I mean so I'll just describe what I'm doing and what I need help with and hopefully someone will know what I need to do (if possible).

I have a workbook with a series of film titles in the 'B' column, and ratings for said film in the adjacent 'C' column. The ratings in the ratings column go from 1-10. I'm using COUNTIF to calculate how of each rating is in the rating column.

What I'd like to be able to do is implement a formula whereby the sheet will display the contents of the B column (on another worksheet) if the adjacent cell in the C column matches a certain value (e.g. '9').

I hope that makes sense! I'm not sure if this is even possible but any help is much appreciated.

adjust ranges to suit...

you can change the 2 occurances of 9 in the formula to a cell reference containing the number....

The formula must be confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER..you will see { } brackets appear around it.

Then you can copy the formula down as far as necessary to ensure all records are captured.
