Excel 2007 : Refresh Pivot on Protected Sheet

Hello,

I have a pricer that I have created that requires a pivot table to be refreshed after the perameters have changed. I would like to protect the sheet before running the macro that calculates the pricing and also refreshes the pivot, but can't find a way to refresh the pivot while the sheet is protected. Is there a way around this?

you should be able to do so.. when you go to Tools > Protecion a window appears where you can check "select unchecked boxes" ,"select checked boxes" etc etc.. if you scroll down to the bottom of that display box.. there is an option called "Use Pivot Tables".. select it and you are good to go

I'm hearing you and I would think that would do it, but it does not seem to work. If anyone out there has a pivot table that they could protect the worksheet and check the "Use PivotTable Reports" and let me know if you can refresh the pivot table. Please let me know if you're getting the same error or if there is a problem with my Excel 2007.
