Using IF to colour shape

Hiya,

I have a text box and a triangle shape that are blue. However, is it possible that where the following is true, the shapes turn red?
=$A$1="Error"

You'll probably need VBA for that...

Thanks for your response. It isn't applicable to this problem but I'm sure it will be in the future. I had a mini-brainwave and have managed to overcome it as shown in attached example.

skatmandu2002 when attaching an Excel file unless you are posting in the 2007 help forum could you please save the file down to 97-2003 format as many people do not have 2007 yet!
