You'll probably need VBA for that...
But here is an alternative that might work for you..check it out.

Triangles appear in the Windings3 font
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Thanks for your response. It isn't applicable to this problem but I'm sure it will be in the future. I had a mini-brainwave and have managed to overcome it as shown in attached example.

skatmandu2002 when attaching an Excel file unless you are posting in the 2007 help forum could you please save the file down to 97-2003 format as many people do not have 2007 yet!
