    Deleting Text/Digits from a Column

I have a phone number column which has thousands of phone numbers on it. Many of them are in the format (###) ###-####, which is good and the way I want every number in the column.

The problem is that there are miscellaneous text/digits afterwards that I want to get rid of. An example:

    (###) ###-#### ext 3214

    or

    (###) ###-#### DCELL

    or

    (###) ###-#### / ####

    - How do I get rid of this extra data -- I only want the (###) ###-#### in this column? THANKS!
