Best way to merge data from 2 sheets

Looking for the best way to do this please?

I have 2 extensive lists of equipment, one column on each sheet contains equipment numbers... one sheet has been stock checked and contains a 'found' yes or no column.

I want to merge the 2 lists of data to end up with one list containing the data from both sheets.

Where different equipment numbers exist between list I want them to remain untouched...

So if 123 yes is on sheet one, i want to merge that with 123 houston on the second sheet.

I hope this makes sense and thank you in advance for assistance

    hi,

try using data/consolidate, if there is a unique number to reference it can colate all information on that number.

    thanks reg

Tried consolidate and could not get it to do what I wanted to thought I would upload an example -

    Sheet 1 data I have
    Sheet 2 data I have
Sheet 3 merge result I am looking for

Apologies if this is real basic but I'm just learning

    Thanks in advance

Thanks sglife, very grateful for your efforts.

This is great and almost completes what I need, only thing it is not doing is merge the Tech ID numbers in column c (on sheets 1 and 2)
I had to do this via copy paste. Is there any way to merge them (without getting duplicates listed) via another formula???

I have attached the file, showing where I'm up too!

    Thanks again
