    Hidden Sheets

    Hi

    Just a note to say that I love reading this forum and I am beginning to learn the power of Excel!

    I have a 15 sheet spreadsheet that has many formula and results that are obtained from a "Master Sheet."

    I want to hide the "Master Sheet" from users view.

    When I do so the formulae can't find the info they require. How do I hide a sheet so that users can't see it, but the formula from other sheets can still access it?

    Regards

    Alex

    Need more info

    Can you give any more details, Alex? What version of Excel are you using? Have you also protected the sheet or done something else with it? And to clarify, are you trying to access values from the Master Sheet or formulae? That is, if the Master Sheet contains a cell formula like "= A1*B1", and the result is "6", do you want your other sheet to pull in the value, "6" or the formula, "=A1*B1"?

    Hi

    It is quite a big spreadsheet so uploading may be a bit of a problem.

    I am using Excel 2003.

    I am using various vlookup and other lookup formula to retrieve data from the Master Sheet.

    What's the best way to hide it, so that users can't view it?

    Regards

    Alex

    Format -> Sheet -> hide

    This shouldn't invalidate any formulae referring to the hidden sheet, I think that's why we're a little confused...
