Excel Function

Hello, does any body know of a function that would insert a letter or a number in front of numbers in a cell for example

column A
3245

I want to insert the prefix "S" in front of the nummbers 3245

so i would hopefully end up with

Column A
S3245
Would be great if somebody could point me in the right direction.

could you not insert a column so that A is blank and B contains your numbers. fill column A with the leter you want, then in C1 do concatenate (A1,B1).

An alternative if its just an "S"

="S"&A1

Copied down quickly by double-clicking the little black square in the bottom right hand corner of B1 (assumming column A is filled with your numbers)
