    Highlight empty cells

    I have a workbook, which some cells that are emty, I would like to highlight these cells, but as soon as some data is entered into the cell, I would like the highlight to be removed.

    try conditional formatting...

    Select Cell A1
    Click Formula Is and then enter the formula : "=isblank(A1)"
    Select the formatting you want to apply when the formula returns the value TRUE.

    Fomat > conditional formatting,
    Then you see the first box is "cell value is "
    Select from the list, there is "Formula is "
    I need your support to add reputations if my solution works.

    Does this work in Excel 2003? I tried your formula, but couldn't get it to work!
