    Combining if(isnumber(search with Frequency

    I am trying to combine a If(is(numbersearch combination with a Frequency formula , i am not using sumproduct as want to return a complete total if criteria is blank.

    Where i am trying to get to
    When a certain validation is entered it returns the number of individual number combinations in a column ignoring duplicates (columns are number only not text)

    Hope you can Help

    I think you'll need to post an example of some data and what you want the formula to return.
    Or, perhaps better, zip an Excel workbook with the example.

    Using your posted workbook....

    I assigned a range name to the list on Sheet1 so the DV list on Sheet2
    could reference the list.
    Names in workbook: LU_NameList
    Refers to: =Sheet1!$B$4:$B$6

    On Sheet2, this regular formula returns the number of unique accounts
    that the person in D5 has...

    Using your sample data, the formula returns 3 for Paul.

    I attached the revised workbook to this post.

    Is that something you can work with?

    There's probably a simpler formula, but this works for me:

    Notice that the first part of Sumproduct has one more row than necessary, because Frequency contains one more element than the references would lead you to believe.
