# Combining if(isnumber(search with Frequency

1. ## Combining if(isnumber(search with Frequency

I am trying to combine a If(is(numbersearch combination with a Frequency formula , i am not using sumproduct as want to return a complete total if criteria is blank.

Where i am trying to get to
When a certain validation is entered it returns the number of individual number combinations in a column ignoring duplicates (columns are number only not text)

Hope you can Help

Very striped down Example attached

2. ## Combining if(isnumber(search with Frequency

I think you'll need to post an example of some data and what you want the formula to return.
Or, perhaps better, zip an Excel workbook with the example.

4. ## Combining if(isnumber(search with Frequency

I assigned a range name to the list on Sheet1 so the DV list on Sheet2
could reference the list.
Names in workbook: LU_NameList
Refers to: =Sheet1!\$B\$4:\$B\$6

On Sheet2, this regular formula returns the number of unique accounts
that the person in D5 has...
``Please Login or Register to view this content.``
Using your sample data, the formula returns 3 for Paul.

I attached the revised workbook to this post.

Is that something you can work with?

5. ## Thanks

Thats great , thanks for you help has been buggin me for days

That goes to all replies

6. There's probably a simpler formula, but this works for me:
``Please Login or Register to view this content.``
Notice that the first part of Sumproduct has one more row than necessary, because Frequency contains one more element than the references would lead you to believe.

Edit: Looks like I'm a little late.
