    Sorting Pivot Table

Trying to sort a pivot table in Excel 2003. Able to do this using the Sort and Top 10 menu option from the Pivot Table toolbar, but can't get this command to show up on the menu most of the time (even with the adaptive menu feature turned off). Where do I need to have my cursor positioned on the pivot table to active this menu option?

you would normally right click on a ROW/COLUMN member value / field header and choose Field Settings -> Advanced ... if that's what you mean ? Post back if not.

    DonkeyOte:

Field Settings doesn't have any options to sort, even under the Advanced button. This Sort and Top 10 menu option only seems to be accessible from the Pivot Table toolbar.

By trial and error, I've discovered if you highlight more than one cell in the far left column, it seems to bring up this as menu option. Does this make any sense to anyone?
