i've seen workbooks in the past that have a limited number of rows and colums but im not sure how to set that up in excel. anyone know how to do this?

Hi,
Do you mean like 10 columns visable and 20 rows visable? If so the try this, select column K, Ctrl+Shift+Right Arrow to select all columns, right click, hide.
Do same to rows but using the down arrow
