XML Source

Dear Excel Expert.

I am using an XML source (Link) in my Excel Workbook.

I seem to be only able to update / refresh the data link manually.

I would like the data to be updated automatically every 3 minutes.

Is there a setting in Excel to set this.

Should I use VBA to program it? If so how do I fire off the xml update every 3 minutes? In Ms Access there is an On Timer event... any such thing in Excel?

Hi Ions,

Try searching Excel Help (and this forum) for the "OnTime" method. You should find many examples of how to do this and can amend the code to your needs.

So there is no GUI that allows me to set this up. I something for External Data Source... but nothing for the XML source?
