    excel pivot table add data

hi i am having problem to add data in my pivot table region and refresh the data.

i wonder which way is the best here..

should i use Ctrl + L ( list) to surround all the data ? so that each time when i want to add new data, i will just drag the previous region to the bottom to surround all the new data i had just added

or should i just drag my mouse over the excel' header column like A till D to cover all the cells from top to the bottom from the column A to D? so that each time when i enter new data.. i do not have to adjust the pivot table region

which way is the best to add new data to the data source?

i personally feel that "List" is good as i do not have the even save the record and i can get updated data in my pivot table by pressing refresh data.

    Hi,
the easiest way is to use Dynamic Ranges
You'll find a nice explanation here

Then use the name of your dynamic range as dat range for your pivot table.
each time you refresh, any changes will be taken into account automatically
