    Text string with unwanted spaces

I have a received a list of data from a supplier. The problem is that for some unknown reason they have added a varying number of unwanted spaces at the end of each field. The data contains spaces within the string that are needed, so I can not use the text to column function. The number of spaces vary as well as the text string length. The only way I was able to find this out was to right justify the column. Is there a way to get rid of the spaces after the data string?

There's a free ADDIN called TRIM BITS that does just what you want without needing more knowledge.

Or just use the TRIM function.
