    Creating dependent drop-down menus

    Hi,

    Just need some aid :

Say example have 2 lists("which need to be expanded with time to add data").

    Product Name Part Number
    xxxxx 12345
    aaaa 23123
    dsghh 312313
    "xxxxy" 12346
(same family as 1st - just different version).

For data input need to create drop down lists for BOTH...but when say product xxxxx is selected it should only give the corresponding part numbers 12345/12346 for the user to select...

have tried all listbox and combobox options(though am not too good at it )...

Can anyone give me a start? atleast if i could get the prod names and part numbers sorted out would be great....mean to say if a prod name is selected it should only give me the corresponding part number(or better autofill it) if we do not want to get into the family thing mess!!!!

Thanks & good job guys...u have solved a lot of probs for me

    AJ

This is referred to as "cascading drop boxes" or "dependent drop boxes" on other places. Rad up here on a complete solution to the concept:
