Calculating The Largest Negative Number within a Range of Positive & Negative Numbers

I wanted to know how you can find the answer to the largest negative number amongst numbers that are both positive and negative. For example;

23
-2
-3
12
14
-3
-9

What formula would I need to input in order to find the largest negative number in this range, the answer should be -9. What would be the excel formula?
