Excel to Word - Formatting lost

I designed a form in Excel with a large amount of formatting. I can paste it into Word as a picture without a problem. However, I am trying to create a fillable Word document from the Excel file, so pictures don't help as they can't be typed in.

When I paste parts of the Excel file into Word as a table, large amounts of formatting are lost. Rows with height=2.5 and columns with width=1 become much larger. What was one page long in Excel becomes 2 pages long in Word. Is there anyway to paste a table from Excel into Word (not as a picture) that preserves all of the formatting exactly?

    Hello ctenanthe,

One of my favorite indoor plant genus'. I was an interiorscaper for a few years. The Excel information can either be copied into a Word table, which won't match the format exactly, or embed the Excel worksheet into the Word document and link it to the original file. This will preserve your format as is.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Thanks Leith!

I love any plant from the Maranta family.
