filter list first by one column, then by unique values in another column

basically i have a big sheet with lots of columns on it and i need to filter by column G for the text "4wk" and then filetr THAT list to only show unique values in column D.

standard filter can easily filter column G for the text, and advanced filter (which is a cumbersome pain in the **** to use due to needing to put extra rows in just for the criteria) can filter for unique values in a specific column. What advanced filter cannot do is filter for text in one column AND then unique values in the other column after that.

why the hell they havent just added a "unique" option to the autofilter is beyond me, it would simplify so many things.

p.s. i am using excel 2007 but ideally the solution needs to work in 2003.

I'm not sure whether it will be helpful or not..

But when u click on Data -- > Filter --> Advanced Filter..

At the bottom you will find a check box "Unique Record only".. if You check that it will show unique record. (Excel 2000)
