connect 2 columns

Hi,

could anyone help me to solve this problem?

I have two colums. I would like to connect the values of the first column with the values of the second column in a 3rd coloum.

For example: in the first column I have the names of the days of the week. In the second column the numbers from 1 to 7. I would like to write "3" in the third column and have automatically: "Wednesday".

Is that possible?

Hi,

Select the cells.
Right click on them.
Select format cell.
Select Custom (last option).
Then type "ddd" in the text box on the right side and click OK.

Now if you type 1 it will display Sunday etc.
