    Pivot Table Conditional Formatting

I am having trouble with my conditional formatting in my pivot table. When I refresh my data, usually half of the conditional formatting erases (I have certain dates filled by background color)... I then have to format paint everything to get it back, but when I refresh it is gone again.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

    Thanks

pivots tend to hose all formatting - it's much worse with pivot charts which reformat themselves to the chart style default on every refresh!

In the table options untick "autoformat table" (which formats the table on each refresh - funnily enough) also, when you're applying your conditional formats (I know this works with standard formatting but haven't tested conditional) apply it to the pivot table columns or rows (i.e. when you hover over the column or row header, and get an arrow and clich - which highlights the whole row/column.

In standard formatting, formatting a selection made this way seems (mostly) to pin the formatting to the pivot field or pivot item - so it sticks on refresh.

let us know how you get on.
