    condition a formula

How do I condition a formula to reflect a positive balance?

ie: =6000-B30 displays remaining goal balance but if the goal has been exceeded the cell displays a negative balance. I would like to condition it to display a positive balance once the goal total of 6000 has been exceeded.
    Please help!!!
    Thank you

This formula will display zero if B30 > 6000

    =MAX(0,6000-B30)

I would like to cell to represent a positive number if the 6000 goal has been exceeded instead of a negetive or 0.
    Thank you

So if B30 is 7000 you want to show 1000? Try

    =ABS(B30-6000)
