Column widths automatically resizing - very annoying

Hi all,

Doers anyone know how to solve the problem where, lets say a copy and paste a formula from cell a1 to cell b1. Currently i have a hardcoded figure, like 20.5% in cell B1.
But when i paste the formula in I end up with something like 20.274172489216512789056890125618925% in b1, and the stupid B column resiszes very wide to fit it all in.
I then have to resize the column width, and change the fomat in cell B1 back to 1dp. But the thing is, whenever I paste a formula again, the same thing happens!
AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I cannot replicate this in my Excel 2010...

Are you copying and pasting A1 to B1 with the normal copy and paste or paste special / formula only?
