Formula for muliplying rows as a rule

    Hey there,

I am pretty new to using Excel and I know this is probably one of the easiest things to do, but i need some help please!

I am trying to make a spreadsheet to work out outstanding debts. In column B I have a weekly value, column c number of weeks owed, and column d is where i want it to work out the answer. But, I have about 200 lines on this spreadsheet. How can I apply the formula to the whole of column d without having to go through every cell individually??

    Thanks in advance :-)

    Hi,

Thanks for altering the title and welcome to the forum.

with your values in column B and your weeks in column C (no blank rows) then you could do something like this in column D

=B1*C1 select the cell and double click the little black square in the lower right hand corner (fill-handle)
