Just a little help with column widths...

Alright, so I have created a spreadsheet that I can enter in product information in.
I have all of my column widths set how I want them, but near the bottom of the spreadsheet I would like to enter some data that require smaller column widths than above.
Is there a way I can change the column widths at the bottom but not affect the data and the widths above. Possibly some way to lock the widths above...?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

No - width of a column applies to all rows within it.

Alright DonkeyOte, is there a way I could start a new sheet and make the column widths the way I want them and some how set an area on the original sheet to link to that new sheet?

I'm afraid you've lost me... you mean to insert the second range as some sort of embedded picture on the first sheet ? All seems far too complex to me I'm afraid.

Yeah, I wondered if that made any sense after I posted it.
I think you understand what I meant though. Maybe not a picture though. A table posibly, I just want to be able to enter the data on that same sheet.

I know what you're getting at but my immediate reaction would be that you're likely looking at some sort of embedded object & to be honest that's likely to get pretty complex... I consider myself something of an XL nerd and I wouldn't go down this path myself... it's seems a lot of trouble for something that is effectively an aesthetic issue (as opposed to functionality).

If you posted up a small sample of what it is you have and what it is you want to have (ie 2nd sheet with new column widths) someone here is likely to be able to cobble something together for you... note: I'd count myself out on that front I think.
