How do I automatically highlight cells when times are entered in worksheet

    Hello there,

I am new so please be patient with me. I have attached a worksheet that we use for rosters. We basically would like to be able to enter the start time and end time of a roster and then have the cells automatically highlight for the total duration of the shift.

the top row of each day also denotes how many people are required for each day at a given time.

Hoping one of you clever people out there can assist.

    Hi,

Just pick Conditional Formats (Format Conditional Formats on the menu) and use the 'Formula Is' option.

So for instance in the conditional format for E4 enter the following

Please Login or Register to view this content.
And copy and paste the formats across your tables.

You mention the number of people. Are you looking for a formula to ad these? If so we'll need some sort of rule.
