Cursor Movement to specific Cell in MS Excel 2007

    Dear Friends,

I use MS Excel 2007. I am anxious about following solution -

I am punching in large database in an excel spreadsheet
I have set cursor movement to "right" direction (instead of default "down")
What I want is as the cursor moves with each return carriage and when
it reaches to the Cell say H2 and when I press enter after entiring data,
the cursor should come to B2 automatically.

How do I go about it ?

    Many thanks in advance.

You can try highlighting the area you want to type, and then use TAB instead of ENTER to go to the next cell. It will go to B3 after you TAB at H2.

No macro or any other action needed! Just try highlighting the area B2 to H4 using your mouse. Then press TAB repeatedly. See the highlighted area moves from B2>C2>D2>E2>F2>G2>H2>B3>...

Highlighting in Excel is something akin to highlighting words in Microsoft Word. At the end of a word, you click and hold down the left mouse button, and move across the word or words. This produces a highlight. From this point your computer will be able to recognize what you have selected, and you may perform functions on it like copy and paste. Before highlight: Hello World.
After highlight: Hello World would appear with a blue rectangle surrounding it, and the text would have changed to white.

It is very similar to excel. You click your left mouse button, and drag it over the cells you would like to select.
ikuogs was suggesting highlighting, and using the Tab button on your keyboard to quickly move through each cell.

I hope that helped you understand the highlighting feature of any computer. Highlight is just another word for select.
