Splitting a cell in 2007- where's the tool for that?

    Hi new guy here
In earlier versions of Excel I could cut a cell in half, making two. I found that really useful yet I cant see the pen tool that did it in v2007. Is there a replacement tool? How do I now perform what was a very simple task?
    Thx

Do you mean TextToColumns to split the contents of a cell? If not can you describe how you did this in earlier versions of Excel so we know what it is you mean. Thanks

    Hi,

I don't understand what you mean by splitting a cell with the 'pen' tool. What's the pen tool? Can you indicate which Menu items and selections you are using in pre 2007 versions?

Or are you referring to the Data Text to columns functionality, which apart from the trivial editing copying and pasting characters from a cell, is the only thing I can think you're referring to.
