    Advance Filtering

Is there a limit to the number of rows that can be filtered and copied to a new location. My worksheet has 129590 rows. I am filtering on one criteria. When I paste to the new location, less than half of the rows will paste. It seem to be in a loop because the hour glass never goes away. I left it today and went to lunch for an hour, the hour glass was still there when I returned, so I hit the esc key, only 16,000 rows pasted. The filtered set is more than 85,000 rows. Is there a limit?

    Thanks

    Pasting Data

    Hi

I assume with the number of rows that you are using Excel 2007, if you are using VBA to carry out the operation you will find that VBA generally executes much slower in 2007 than in earlier versions. Not that it really helps matters for you.

I have timed copying 60000 values between sheets using the FIND function in Excel 2000 and that took less than three minutes, so I tried it on a netbook with 2007 and it still only took about 5 minutes. Are you using "Application.ScreenUpdating=False" as this will slow things down a lot if you are not? Other than that I cannot think of what might be causing it, but if you could post a sample of the code you are using I will be happy to look at it.

    Regards

    Jeff

I'm using the advance filtering on the data ribbon to filter and copy to a new location.

On one column it took one about 3 seconds for 90000 items
