Assistance Required With Conditional Formatting Formula

Hi,

Can anyone please advise me of the formula I need to use in conjunction with ‘Conditional Formatting’ to look in column ‘A’ for the currency i.e. £ (GBP), $ (USD) or € (EUR) and format the currency values in the corresponding cells in columns ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘E’. i.e. insert £, $ or € signs (please see attached Example.xlsx workbook)

e.g.

if A2 = £ (GBP) then format the values in B2, C2, D2 and E2 with a lead £ sign

if A5 = $ (USD) then format the values in B5, C5, D5 and E5 with a lead $ sign

if A8 = '€ (EUR) then format the values in B8, B8, D8 and E8 with a lead € sign

Sorry for off-topic interjection:

Although there is no official rule regarding this behaviour, we request that wherever possible both the question AND the answer be provided in substantive detail here within the thread. An attached workbook is an excellent aid for posing a question and offering a solution, but solely doing that with no in thread explanation makes it difficult for researchers to understand or consider the Q & A of this thread without downloading what may be a pointless doc to them, if they can do that at all. Doing that also hides the content from search engines so others may never benefit from this.
