Excel Window:right corner

I have office 2003 and my problem is with Excel only. The 3 window controls at the right corner of the main window (minimize, maximize, exit) are gone. How do I get them back?

what the ones on the same toolbar as file/edit?
or the ones above that
it is sometimes posible to move the window to far up try alt+- (alt+minus sign/hyphen) click move then use the down arrow key
