Using Excel as Backend to perform calculations

Good morning,

I was wondering if anyone could help me? I have been tasked with coming up with a solution that will take a VERY complex excel wb, "jam-packed" with formulas , and creating a simple user interface (not necessarily in excel), that will use the formulas in the workbook....In case you can't tell from my post, this is a little out-of my league.
