    Question Fill Series - problem

    HI all,

    I have "Country 1" in cell A1 & A2.
    I want "Country 2" in cells A3 & A4

    Is there a way I can Fill series so that
    "Country 3" in cells A5 & A6,
    "Country 4" in cells A6 & A7 etc.

    do you mean it has the number 1 after it or is that just an example? but the best way to quickly insert the same thing every other row is to insert a new column next to your list, then number new column from 1 down to end. copy list including numbers paste below existing list. now select all /sort by numbered column, /then delete numbered column

    Trying to drag cells a1 and a2, acrosss and automatically update the number after the country every 2 cells.

    Hope that gives you a clear picture of what i am try to acheive,

    if you put country 1 in a1 and country 1 in b1 select both and drag it will do just that

    Hi Martin,

    thanks for response, however I need to drag these across on a single line,ie

    "Country 1", "Country 1", "Country 2", "Country 2", "Country 3", Country 3"..etc in cells A1.........A?

    oops sorry put country 1 in a1 and put =a1 in b1 then select both and drag
