Excel 2007 : File size has increased in size...Why

Hi,

I am needing some serious help here. I'm a pilot and have created myself a logbook, as well as doing it for a few others.

The Macro excel file has 4 sheets, 5 pivot tables, and like 62 columns of data (all with data validation), down to 496 rows inputted (on one sheet (sheet 2), the rest have a lot less data)

It adds columns, up to row 10,000. The pivot tables take data from all 10,000 rows and such....file size is only 2.10MB

The problem is, on one file, which should operate the EXACT same way, with only 3 sheets, 4 pivot tables, 64 columns (with data validation), and only 38 rows of data entered, and the file size IS 18.10MB!!!!!

Where in the world, is the ADDITIONAL 16.00MB of data coming from????

PLEASE HELP!

Excel sometimes does that, it may be best just to copy and paste just the relevant data to a new workbook. Don't copy the entire sheets just the areas with data.
