    Another match question

Hi me again, sorry to trouble you again, but I have 1 further question:
As before, col D contains time values from midnight to midnight. Col J contains values, both negative and positive, using the help given before I can establish what time a value of 50 or more was achieved in col J. I now want to find out what the lowest value in col J was up till that time. So, using the index and match function I establish for instance that a value of >=50 was found in col J at a time of 18:23:04 as shown in col D. I now want to search col J up to time 18:23:04 as shown in col D and find out what the lowest value was. Hope that is clear enough, will post more if needed, and thank you again for all and any help. Re: Another match question

Hi NBVC, once again thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately the formula you gave does not seem to work, and I can't figure out why. Just to recap in case I have not made my problem clear, Col D contains time values starting at midnight.
Col J contains various values both positve and negative. Using the match and index formula you gave last time, I can look down Col J and establish that a value of >=50 was found at say J223, the corresponding cell D223 contains a time value of say 08:12:05. I now want to look down col J and find the lowest value in col J up to the time 8:12:05 as determined by cell D223.

Hope that is clearer, and once again many thanks.

Hi again, still no joy. I'm not sure why, so I have uploaded an example sheet in the hope that you can help me. Once again, many thanks and sorry for the trouble. Regards Smileyc
