I have many spreadsheets with formula in them doing the basis calculations. For some reason instead of the answer to the formula displaying in the cell, the actual formula is showing instead of the answer to the formula. I sent a copy to a friend who opened the file up and the answer showed correctly.

The same key as ~ on the unshifted level, I don't know what the character is called.
So press Ctrl - `

ah i think this is it ` its the top most left on uk keyboard just below escape and amazingly it toggles formulas!
