    contents overflowing column edge

    Look at this picture

    see how above the red line that column contents stops showing, under the red line it goes beyond the column edge and shows the whole contents... I don't want it to... how can I fix this so the contents are hidden like the cells above the red line

    putting a space in the adjacent cell will do it.
    to do the lot put a space in a cell copy paste to a cel or range of cells or copy space edit/goto/special/blanks/paste.
    this however would affect any formula with isblank/istext as a condition
