    How to make chart

    Hi,
I am a DBA actualy and this is the first time m boss has asked me to play with the MS Excel to draw some charts for the System Service Requests (SSRs) we recrieve from our customers. I want to draw a char you can see in the image i am uploadin in file "Chart.png". Data is available in the File "Forum.xls". IS there anyone who can draw this for me and also teach me how to do this. I have spent many many hours but couldnot find.
    In Excel file:
Months: Month for which we receive SSRs
Number of SSRs: Total nmber of SSRs for each month.
Early: Number of SSRs which finished before its scheduled time
Hit: Number of SSRs closed within its scheduled time
Misses: Number of SSRs closed after the scheduled time
No. of Reschedules: Total number of times of reschedules for any SSR.

So -> Early+Hit+Misses = Total number of SSRs
Reschedules are independent of all other values and should be shown as a line in this bar chart.

I would really appreciate if some one could help me and tell me how to daw this type of hybrid chart.
    Thanks

    Salman

    Re: How to make chart

Select the range D5:I7 and create a Stacked Column chart plotted by Columns.

Delete the "No of SSRs" series.
Select the "No. of reschedules" series and change chart type to Line.
Select the line series and change to the secondary axis.

Ideally you would change the layout of your data to remove the "No of SSRs" as it is not used in the chart.
You will need to change the reschedule values to percentages if that is what you want to show.
    Cheers

    Re: How to make chart

    HI,
I am able to do this. Now i am facing probloem in creating a 100% stacked column chart. I have three values 20, 29 and 35. I am able to draw a chat but i can only display these values in the persentage stacked column chart. I want to display the percentage value of each value in the bar but i can see the check box of "Percentage" disables in the "Data Labels" tab of chart wizard.
    How to display percentages?
    Thanks

Simplest way is to calculate the percentages and plot those in a chart.
The the Data label Value will be the percentage.
