Problem modifying charts titles in Excel 2007

Sometimes, i cannot edit the charts title in "insertion mode". It happens more often after having copied and paste charts 2 or 3 times, but it can also happen with a new excel document.

I mean, when i edit a chart title, i cannot just add new characters to the title, or just change few characters, i must rewrite it entirely because the previous characters are removed once the edition mode left.

It's really annoying...

Moreover, the character i type are not displayed inside the charts, but in the formula input area.

Have you applied SP1 ?

Yes, when i try to install the SP1, it says that the "update is already installed on this system"

I not heard of this problem.

Does the problem remain the the chart/workbook or is it intermitent?
If you can post an example workbook with the problem I will have a look see.

The problem concerns all the excel files i create or edit
Sometimes i can fix it by closing and opening the file again, but it's only temporary
