Sorting and merging data in an Excel Spread

Hello all-
I could really use some help in converting an Excel spreadsheet--


The data currently looks like the following

Cell A1 has the part number
Cell A2 has the description

This goes on for multiple thousands of part numbers we handle--
We need to get Cell A2 to merge with Cell A1 so the final result is the data in Cell A1 (part number) then data from Cell A2 AFTER the data already in Cell A1--- then, to go on and on from A2 and A1, then A4 to A3, then A6 to A5 and so on and so on--
Is there a way to do so?
I would be happy to email a sample spread if that would help-
