I'm sure someone will come up with an answer. But maybe you need to come up with a question first?

    Hi Teylyn

Already posted the question, had some really good help from shg; looking to build further on whats already been acheived.

looking to be able to calculate circular bays, not just angled ones; also looking to add an extra line for front of bay measure.

    cheers

    Already posted the question
You started a new thread. How do you expect people to know what your question is if you don't put it into this thread?

Stephen, what you want is readily doable. The code in the existing workbook could probably be extended to do what you want, if you explained the requirements lucidly -- it's just a chore. As I said in the original post in the prior thread, it's just a bunch of computational geometry.

You might want to post in the commercial services exchange, and see if someone else is inclined to help.

    Hi shg,

I am slightly bemused by your reply; I have been on this forum now for some 4 months, my knowledge of excel was limited to say the least over these past months I have found everyone very Courteous and extremely helpfull.

I am now using excel on a day to day basis and cannot believe what can be achieived using it.

I dont always know how to put across the questions in such a way as for people to understand, its all in my head, but normally once something is started I quickly work out exactly whats required.

I just feel that you have dangled a carrot so to speak, and for some reason you are not interested in helping out.

Not sure what you mean by You might want to post in the commercial services exchange, and see if someone else is inclined to help.

Please if in any way I might of offended you it was not my intention.

I'd feel offended by this statement alone. A lot of people have been busting their guts on this forum, trying to help you. Doing this, a lot of people have also asked you to specify what you want to achieve or what the question really is. We cannot look inside your head and if you don't define the problem, it's really hard to come up with an answer.

Your attitude of demanding help rubs me the wrong way.

Please realise that the gurus and helpers on this forum are sharing their expertise for free, often in their spare time. You don't have a right to their help.

Since you are developing a system for your business, I feel that a referral to the commercial services exchange is more than warranted.

Teylyn, I have been less than demanding; I appreciate everyone's help, a lot of people on this forum are using the site for business problems!

This is my first encounter with you! and to be quite honest you rub me the WRONG WAY!

I have only had dealings with a few people NOT LOTS, and we manage to overcome my lack of knowledge in all things excel.

I realise that everyone on here is sharing information and time, and I hope one day to return the time and knowledge gained over the past few months to others.

I have never demanded their time or Help, I am gratefull for the sharing and time people take to help me, so I can further understand and better myself.

I am saddened that something so innocent has turned into this.

    Re: Gradual curves for bays

Stephen my only point was that this is not a 15-minute exercise, it's a few hours of work that I don't have time for (compensated or not). Someone else may be happy to assist, for compensation or for free. What you're asking is not for someone to show you how to do something (the current workbook does that, I think), it's doing it in it's entirety. Posting in the other forum may get you there faster, that's all. I apologize for putting it so poorly.

Teylyn, I think we all sometimes type faster than we consider what we're saying. I type so slowly that it's easier for me to avoid , but my last post was pretty bad. Thank you for defending the forum's 'mission', and for your continuing contributions to it.
