HI,
I have a large sample of data which contains fractions. However every time i copy the data into excel it changes some of the fractions to dates
Is there anyway that i can avoid this by using VBA or any other means?
Many thanks

Maybe if you preformat the column(s) you are going to paste to as Text...
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Hi, and welcome to the forum,
Have you tried formatting the receiving cells as 'Fraction'?
What does the original data look like. is it a text, i.e. '1/3 (prefaced by a label marker)?
One other solution might be to first substitute the "/" character which is causing something like 5/3 to be interpreted as the date 5th March, with some other character, paste the data into an Excel column formatted as fraction and then replace the temporary character with the '/'.
It might be easier if you upload your source file and your Excel file so that we can see the problem in context.
