Index Match / Countif / Offset problem

Hi, I a trying to use the above functons to classify data in descending order by value - where two classes may have exact matches in terms of value, and have been unable to get the functuions to differentiate and list both classes.

i.e. if say, the class B Obama has a value of 1000 and C Dundee class has a avalue of 1000 - then, when I attempt to have them list vs G Slalom which has a value of 500 - given that B Obama should be under USA and C Dundee under Australia with G Slalom under Switzerland - the functions return a double value of 1000 for C Dundee and Australia and omit B Obama altogether

    say: shows:
    USD B Obama 10000 Switzerland 14000
    AUD C Dundee 5000 USA 10000
    CHF G Slalom 14000 Australia 5000

    becomes: showing:
    AUD C Dundee 10000 Switzerland 14000
    AUD C Dundee 10000 Australia 10000
    CHF G Slalom 14000 Australia 10000

when there are duplicate values for
    B Obama and C Dundee

    Hi,

this is a bit hard to work out without seeing the actual workbook. Can you post a subset of your data layed out as you have it and explain the logic to arrive at the solution?

    cheers
