Insert Pic pulldown greyed out

Hello:

I'm attempting to insert a jpeg image into an excel field. When I do a copy and paste, Excel does not recognize that anything is on the clipboard, and when I try to insert picture the entire pulldown menu is greyed out.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

are you sure that you're not in edit mode in the cell? I only have the menu greyed out when I'm in edit mode, but as soon as I hit ESC on the cell, thus just have the cell selected, the functionality is there.
