    Chart Question and table question

    Hello,
I am using a stacked Data chart with Layout #5. See attached.
I calculated in a table below the % difference between the 2 months, but is there a way to display this % difference of the 2 months either in the chart or in a table (or both)?
Is there a way to modify the table only?
Or is there a different type of chart that can display this?
    Thanks,
    nmss

Re: Chart Question and table question

The formatting of a pivot table is limited.
The formatting of a data table in a chart is even more limited.

How about adding the %Diff to the category label.

So A32 would have the formula

    ="Category1 (" & TEXT(D32,"0.0%") &")"

Then create a chart on the data in A31:C36. Also use a clustered rather than stacked column chart.
    Cheers

Thanks for the response Andy. For some reason the formula is not working for me. I am trying different variations of it but its not accomplishing what you intended it to.

I see what you mean, but did you add this formula to each row? becuase when I drag the formula down form A32, while I get the proper % values, I get category1 on every row.

If you drag the formula down you will indeed need to modify the formula.

Of course you could reference the category text in the pivot table and then the cells will update automatically
