    Find and Replace Text Color

    Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find text in a cell and replace it with the same text but I want the text to be bold and a different color. When I do a find and replace it selects all the text and changes it even though I tell it to search for specific text. Example: I want to find Product Description in all my cells and replace it with Product Description in bold and a different color. Is this possible to do? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure that what you are wanting to do is possible using native Excel. However, my add-in, available via the link below has a utility called Select Cells by Content / Format (Ultimate > Range).

You could use this function to select all occurances of "Product Description" in a given range, then just click on the Bold button.

    Try this

Ctrl + H > Enter text in the find box > enter same text in replace box > select options > then select format box for the replace items

Should of being clear then as you're post said, No mention of part of a string
I want to find Product Description in all my cells and replace it with Product Description in bold and a different color.
You would need code for part text strings
